Shanghai Simgui Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech company, which manufactures silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafers & EPI wafers, and markets the wafers to semiconductor industry worldwide. The company is a commercial spin-off of Shanghai Institute of Micro-system and Information Technology (SIMIT)(formerly called Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). SIMIT's over 20 years experience in SOI materials technology and Simgui's state-of-the-art facilities enable the company to produce high quality SOI wafers and EPI wafers for advanced integrated circuits and optical components manufacturing.
Simgui continues its relationship with CAS, the largest government research organization in China. But it also gains strength from its friends inland and overseas. Partnership with US companies Ibis, the leader of SIMOX SOI technology, and Moore Technologies, the acknowledged specialist in Epitaxial technology, have enhanced Simgui's efforts, enabling the company to become more competitive in the domestic and international semiconductor market. Now, Simgui's exciting potential is being made reality. The company's goal is to become a world leader in the manufacture and supply of SOI wafers and EPI wafers.
